Jet Hellebore

Jet is a former student of Beacon Academy and the leader of Team JSPR. His weapon of choice is a large metal hammer named Aurochs.

Appearance

Jet is a tall young man with a dark complexion, gold colored eyes, and messy black hair tied into a low ponytail.

While he used to have a strong knightly aesthetic, he has since discarded this look in favor of something that is both more comfortable and more practical. He retains the cuirass and kneepads, but his iconic scarf has since been torn apart and incorporated into the sleeves of his jacket.

(please note that i actually forgot to draw his belt in this reference, lol. it goes above his shirt but below his armor, and has a strap on the back to hold aurochs.)

Personality

Jet is much the same individual as he was before, however he has grown in several ways over time. He uses his aloof facade less and less, and is more honest with his feelings, but is also more jaded and cynical as a result. He still has the same humor and drive to protect his friends as before, but at the same time, he has become less tolerant of his teammates picking on him, and has become more headstrong (befitting his allusion to the black bull) overall. He has also gained a tendency to get irritated more quickly, and isolates in order to vent those frustrations, so as to not internalize them like he used to.

Weapon

Jet's weapon, Aurochs, is a heavy metal warhammer, with a retractable handle for portability purposes. The back end of the head has a sharp blade that reaches around like an axe, making backhanded swings capable of cutting through both objects and Grimm. Jet's fighting style relies on weight, momentum, and movement in order to deliver the hard hits he is more than capable of.

While Aurochs itself has no built in ranged functionality, the orange strips of cloth on Jet's jacket sleeves (which were once a scarf) have dust interwoven into the fabric. When used, Jet can create projectiles made of dust which he can either throw or hit with Aurochs like a baseball bat, or he can add extra layers to Aurochs' exterior for elemental attacks.

Semblance

Jet's semblance is the ability to shift the outer layers of his body (skin, hair, and clothes) into stone. His proficiency of this ability has increased greatly since his Beacon days, and he is now capable of easily shifting for longer periods of time, as well as shifting to the deeper layers of his body. He is also capable of more reliably shifting the air immediately surrounding him.

Jet has also become highly skilled in using the evolution of his semblance, in which he adds extra stone layers onto his body from his surroundings. He can now apply these additions much faster, and without the exhausting drawbacks. He has also found creative ways to use it for mobility purposes, such as adding onto his legs and feet in order to propel himself up into the air, only for him to disconnect at the peak in order to launch himself.

Jet's fairy tale allusion is The Black Bull of Norroway, specifically the black bull/knight himself.Jet's voiceclaim is Sam Blakeslee, also known as Lupin or nostraightanswer. He is the voice provider for the Vocaloid DEX, as well as a Vocaloid producer.To this day, Jet still has that same crush on another former Beacon student. He's accepted that it'll honestly never happen, and has resolved to move on, but that doesn't mean his feelings have changed.Team JSPR arrived in Atlas shortly before the embargo went into effect. As such, the team was/is there to assist in the protection of Mantle and Atlas residents during the time of crisis.
